With the ongoing advancement of laparoscopic surgery and the introduction of various energy devices, surgeons now explore new techniques with more difficult surgical cases. With this advancement come little knowledge of the dangers laparoscopic surgery poses to patients and to surgeons as well. This lecture tackles on understanding the basic principles of energy devices and also how to correct ergonomic mistakes during surgery, thus, producing a safe environment for both patient and surgeon.
