Micro X-ray CT system

Micro X-ray CT System

Custom-built system

An experimental X-ray CT system designed to visualize the three-dimensional internal structure of specimens using absorption contrast. Imaging conditions can be flexibly adjusted depending on the specimen and purpose, and the system is used for structural observation and image evaluation of a wide variety of samples.

Phase-contrast micro X-ray CT system

Phase-contrast Micro X-ray CT System

Custom-built system

An experimental X-ray CT system designed to visualize soft tissues and fine structures that are difficult to observe with conventional X-ray CT by using phase contrast. By incorporating a Talbot interferometer, the system can acquire differential phase images and small-angle scattering images in addition to conventional absorption images.

In vivo micro-CT system

In vivo Micro-CT (Shared Equipment)

CosmoScan GX (Rigaku Corporation)

A micro-CT system compatible with both in vivo and ex vivo imaging. It enables three-dimensional visualization of internal structures in small animals and is also used to evaluate motion associated with respiration and cardiac activity.

Light-sheet microscope

Light-sheet Microscope (Shared Equipment)

descSPIM*-based system

An optical microscopy system that uses sheet-shaped excitation light to observe the internal structure of specimens. It is used for three-dimensional morphological evaluation of cleared biological samples and related specimens. (*K. Otomo, Nature Communications, 2024)
