TITLE
"Spectral Imaging in Medical Applications"

ABSTRACT

　The computational spectral imaging group at the University of Eastern Finland (UEF) has been the joint group of computer science and photonics from its beginning in the middle of 1980’s. Strong measurement and imaging knowledge combined to computational analyses is the strength in our group.

　We have been collaborating much with industry in last 15 years. In machine vision, Lappeenranta University of Technology, Finland, has been the main collaborator. The applications with medical field expanded when the collaboration with the Faculty of Health Sciences at UEF started. The cooperation has enlarged to the School of Medicine, University of Tampere, Finland.

　At the moment, Kuopio University Hospital and Tampere University Hospitals are in collaboration.

　 In my talk, I present our development of spectral eye fundus imaging and the status of our research.
