PACS system provides a digital platform for medical imaging diagnosis by using IT technology. After many years of development, PACS has evolved from image storage and transfer between several radiographic devices to all hospital imaging equipments as well as different hospitals. With the development of cloud computing, machine learning and other new technologies, how will PACS develop and change? This lecture will introduce the application status of PACS in China, and summarize the technology of image processing and analysis for clinical diagnosis. Moreover, it will introduce Zhengzhou University and the related works. Finally, the lecture will look ahead to the next generation PACS and innovations.
