For one thing, accurate segmentation of kidney tumor is of critical importance for quantitative assessment of tumor progression and preoperative treatment planning. For another thing, identifying disease-related genes also contributes to the promotion of disease diagnosis and treatment. Moreover, deep learning methods have been adopted in biomedical analysis and achieve the state-of-the-art performance. In this talk, I would mainly cover our recent research on kidney tumor segmentation and disease-related gene prediction based on deep learning. In addition, I would also briefly introduce my other related research activities which include predicting the new uses of the old medicines and inferring the diseases of the patients according to their electronic medical records.
